A typical day in my life includes… getting up at 5:00 a.m. Meditation followed up by Qigong yoga to get my body ready for the day. My vegan shake is a must, too, in my daily diet. Together, the three give me focus and energy to embark upon the various endeavors I have planned for my day. One day is never the same as any other, which I love, and which keeps me looking forward to each day.
I was born… In Guadalajara, México, and lived there until I was ten years old when I moved to Guatemala for my teen years. I returned to Mexico thereafter for a few years until I traveled to the U.S. for college, ultimately deciding to stay permanently.
My favorite thing about Arizona… There are so many that are difficult to choose from. I fell in love with the weather and breathtakingly beautiful scenery when I first arrived in the winter of 1990. Little did I know about the scorching summer days. Within a few years, I got used to it. I love the colorful sunsets in the hot summer months. I am amazed at how much Arizona has grown and changed since I arrived, and how many fun and exciting activities there are to be found nowadays. Scottsdale Quarter is one of my favorite places in the Valley with a variety of shops and restaurants nearby. I enjoy relaxing on my patio and taking in Camelback Mountain at dusk, illuminated by the setting sun like a Himalayan Salt lamp.
I’m listening to… yoga and meditation music, smooth jazz and Spanish music.
My family… They are the most important part of my life. I spent the last 20 years as a full-time mom. Going from point A to point B, dropping off and picking up my daughters from school, after-school activities, and weekend performances, and watching them grow into the wonderful young women they have become. I am blessed to have been given that opportunity in my life and to have an incredible husband who supported my decision to stay home and remained involved in raising the children. We now await a new chapter in our lives and look forward to being “Empty Nesters”.
If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be… my husband. There is always so much to talk about, even though I am the one doing the talking most of the time. Just ask him! There is something to be said about being a good listener. Now that I am so busy, sometimes until 9:00 p.m., we don’t get to have dinner together as much.
One thing I cannot live without… My morning meditation. This is when I focus all of my intentions for the most power to guide me every day on my journey in this wonderful world.
When I was younger, I wanted to be… There were so many choices that it was difficult to make up my mind. I changed direction many times until I was well into my 20’s. I always loved to write and design, ever since I was a little girl. Perhaps that is why I continue to do both now.
I’m inspired by… My mom. I thank her for all that “I am”. She was the role model in my life who taught me to never give up on my dream no matter how many obstacles we face or bridges we must cross in our lives. Just keep going until you get there! She passed away recently, and I miss her, but her spirit lives on in me.
The people who motivate me are… My husband and my girls. They are my daily IV to get me going!
If I could change anything in the world, it would be… The injustices, among them, abused children and hunger.
The perfect day would be… Seeing happiness all around the world. Living in a bubble of joy, happiness, and well-being. Every day we receive a fresh start, so let’s begin each day with joy!
My first job was… as host at the World Football Soccer for the German and Moroccan teams in Guadalajara Mexico.
My favorite escape is… Newport Coast to our annual family vacation. We reconnect as a family and that’s all I look forward to every summer. My life… is blessed for everyone around me that l love and care about, and for every experience, it has given me to learn and become better as I keep growing in life.
I’m currently working on… healing as many people as I can. We struggled with our child during puberty for a few years. This led me to commit to helping children and parents dealing with depression, anxiety, ADHD, and numerous other emotional and mental health issues, all through the use of holistic, non-pharmaceutical methods and modalities which extend beyond counseling or group therapy. I discovered a remarkable breakthrough in the healing arts, known as the Theta Wellness process, which ultimately assisted our daughter in healing and moving forward in life. I became determined to open my own wellness center and utilize these breakthrough treatments, which relieve stress, anxiety, and the pull of addiction, and help restore the brain’s balance by creating new neural pathways, resulting in more positive habits and behaviors, and, ultimately, a new life. As the perfect complement to these therapies, my center offers yoga, meditation, nutritional guidance, and the strategic use of supplements to optimize overall health. My mission is to assist adolescents and their families, and others, facing physical, mental, and emotional health issues through the Theta Wellness process. We have seen it succeed with our own child. I utilize state-of-the-art Theta Wellness equipment. Quasar Quantum Healing, The Next Wave in Modern Wellness, opened in Spring 2021 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Always… Be yourself and embrace who you are. Never… Allow yourself to be mistreated by anyone. Favorite Quote… “We are what we think. All that we are arises from our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world”. Biggest Dream… now, my present moment! My Pet… Juju who loves us unconditionally and brightens up our lives. My Pet Peeves…Liars.
